The grounds,
the carriage house and the veranda of the 1840 house of the French
Legation Museum are available for weddings, meetings, parties, and
other events. The grounds feature 2.5 acres of beautifully landscaped
gardens. Click on the map for a detailed view.
The
Carriage House
has a second floor
banquet room that holds around 35 people. Handicapped - accessible
restroom facilities are included in the banquet room, as well as a
kitchenette.
The
front veranda
of the museum house, adjacent to the formal garden, is a
particularly lovely site for wedding ceremonies. Many couples
choose to take their wedding vows on the historic front porch of the
house. Please note that no
dancing
is permitted on the veranda, and that the interiors of the historic
French Legation house and the detached kitchen cannot be used.
Parking is available
in an adjoining parking lot and on the streets adjacent to the Museum.
