Domestic – This is a site where a home used to be. Very often archaeologists find things that are still usable, although broken pieces of pottery can also be found.
Privy – A privy is a word to describe an outhouse, or an outside restroom. It was also used as a trash container. Archaeologists find things like broken pottery and glass. They can even guess what people ate by studying animal bones that were thrown away.
Industrial – This is a site where people worked in factories. Many of the things archaeologists would find would be made of steel or metal.
Native American – A site that was occupied by Native Americans would include stone tools, weapons, and other evidence of campfire sites.
