The grounds, the carriage house and the veranda of the 1840 house of the French Legation Museum are available for weddings and other social events. The grounds feature 2.5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. Click on the map for a detailed view.

Your Dream Wedding

The Carriage House has a second floor banquet room that holds up to 35 people. Restroom  and kitchenette facilities are included in the banquet room.

(The museum office and gift shop are on the ground floor of the Carriage House.)

The front veranda of the museum house, adjacent to the formal garden, is a particularly lovely site for wedding ceremonies. Please note that no dancing is permitted on the veranda, and that the interiors of the historic French Legation house and the detached kitchen cannot be used.

Parking is available in an adjoining parking lot and on the streets adjacent to the Museum.

Reservations

Weddings may be held at any time except during regular Museum hours, Tuesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Grounds are to be vacated by 11 p.m.  Some exceptions apply; please speak with Museum staff for details.
